NOTE: New skimmer gaskets
must be used when installing EverGuard 2000
Tools Needed for Installation
Clear
ABS Cleaner (pipe cleaner)
Clear ABS Cement (multi-purpose cement)
Flat file (if necessary)
# 3 Phillips head screw driver
Clear silicone
Instructions
* RED ARROWS INDICATE BONDING EDGE * See Picture below.
1. Apply clear ABS cleaner to bonding edges on section A & B and
let dry.
2.
Apply clear ABS cement (multi-purpose cement) on bonding edges sections
A & B.
NOTE : Cleaner and cement can damage the liner and pool wall finish.
Wipe
off excess immediately !! Follow all directions on Cement
and
Cleaner labels.
3.
Install section A on the inside of the pool with the bonding edge
facing the
outside
of the pool.
4. Install section B from the outside of the pool onto the bonding
edge of
section A. Hold the section together for at lest two mintues. Use
the screws
supplied with EVEGUARD 2000 to hold section A & B together until
the
cement dries.
5. Apply a thin layer of clear ABS multi-purpose cement to the bonding
seam.
6. Use the supplied screws to install the skimmer.
Check the Weir door on the skimmer to make sure it fits through the
opening
on the EverGuard 2000. The sides of the Weir door may need to be filed
down
to clear the opening of the EverGuard 2000.
If a leak develops, make sure all screws are tight. Check gasket,
and if
necessary, wipe the seam of the bonding edge dry then apply ABS cleaner
to
the seams. Once dry, apply ABS cement to the seam and let dry.
The
skimmer gasket should be replaced yearly or when the skimmer gasket
starts to leak.
